I would have written this review on my phone but I had to whip out the laptop for this one because it is a book. I want to start by saying thank you to the staff that has helped with my child today 1/11/21 @ 2:15pm. Thank you guys so much!! I accidentally registered him into another daycare and they were patient with me, even when I registered him last minute. They are responsive and understanding. Since LJ had been acting up I even called to push back an hour later. They were still kind and patient with us. They knew him by his name. The place is clean, secure, they take measures for COVID 19, there are tons of toys and the staff are so kind! LJ is not easy to take care of and we have been through plenty of drop-in daycares. The first drop-in daycare that I took LJ to had closed so we had to find a new place for him. The second time at a drop-in daycare was two years prior to this was not a good experience for him because he was bruised up when I got him back. So I am pretty paranoid now a never took him back there. The third drop-in daycare was a good daycare, and he spent a year and a few months with them. However, his behavior was tough to handle due to his temper tantrums, separation anxiety and he made himself puke purposefully. There was a point he was doing good after seven months, but I believe that since we did not have a regular schedule to take him, he began to not get used to it anymore and started crying/ throwing his temper tantrums for hours. The staff was good and patient with him but there is only so much that they could take. I understood why they could not offer their services to us anymore due to his behavior. Initially, I felt sad and hopeless and I thought that no provider would be able to handle LJ at all… After three daycares, I nearly thought it was impossible. I prayed that we would find somewhere for Luke and prayed that he would be okay. I stumbled upon “The Drop Zone” and saw that they have five-star reviews and after taking LJ I understand why the reviews are so high! I was scared to take him because it is another new beginning. I gave them a paper typed up a while back pertaining to what he likes and dislikes ( I do this for every place he goes to after the second daycare) and I did not think that anyone would read or use it, but they did! The staff takes the time to learn about your child. Usually, LJ would cry throw temper tantrums for hours. He did cry at first, but when I came back he was happy and in a high chair. I thought it was impossible! He does not like sitting in high chairs at all, due to the feeling of isolation. The staff managed to do so, and he was happy! He did not want to go home! I repeat! He did not want to go home for once! He ran everywhere! He even sang to the person putting on his shoes! I have never had LJ never want to go home! I am still in awe after three hours! It took him almost a year to become used to a place and it took him less than then minutes to love this place. I am still shook! He was so happy today that he fell asleep when we got home. I really want to thank the staff for being patient and taking the time to understand him. You guys gave me hope again! I do not think you guys realized how thankful I am to find an amazing establishment with great staff. I am so glad we found a place for him. Thank you guys so so much!!
