For Parents
Your Responsibilities
Reservations are required due to ratio and COVID-19 enhanced precautions adapted by The Drop Zone. Reservations can be made under “Our Programs,” by calling 910-758-1055, or by request on Facebook and Instagram. Drop-In visits can range between 1 and 4 hours. Due to COVID-19 restrictions that effect facility ratio, adhering to your scheduled reservation times are essential. Your reservation cannot be extended beyond the scheduled pick-up time without prior consent. Late pick-ups compromise ratio as well as the families scheduled to visit following your visit. 24 hour notice required for cancellations. There a 15 minute grace period, before your reservation is considered a “No Show.” The ” No Show” Fee will be equivalent to the rate of the scheduled reservation.
Registration is required for each child on or before your initial drop-in visit and should be completed by the parent or legal guardian. To protect the safety and well-being of your child during their stay at The Drop Zone, we ask about allergies, health issues, medications, and dietary restrictions. Please pre-register your child or children online prior to your first visit. This will make your first visit much more efficient. Only one family is allowed in the reception area at a time, so please allow a few moments for such allowances. COVID-19 screenings are conducted for all visitors. Masks are not required during the visit. It is preferable that the person dropping off is the pickup person in keeping with COVID-19 precautions. Please do not attempt a drop-in visit if your child or a member of your family isn’t feeling well, or if your child’s normal childcare facility or school is closed due to COVID-19. If you anticipate your child’s visit to last through mealtime (12:00pm – 12:30pm), please bring a bagged lunch (Non-microwavable and peanut-free).
School agers enrolled in After-School Care or Summer Camp MUST be signed in daily to include documentation of check-in time. After-school participants will be signed in at pick up from their local school by the transporting Drop Zone team member.
Cubbies are provided in our reception area for shoes, coats, umbrellas, backpacks, lunch boxes or any other items requiring safekeeping while your child is visiting with us. Cubbies are labeled, but please label your children’s belongings. The Drop Zone is a shoeless facility, so please place shoes along with these items in an empty storage cubby prior to entering the play zones. Socks must be worn in play zones. Due to COVID-19 tablets, handheld devices, phones, personal toys are not allowed.
A name tag is placed on each child at check-in and they are escorted into their age appropriate play zone. There is a large window wall for easy viewing of your children. For safety and cleanliness, socks must be worn at all times while inside the play zones.
The Drop Zone provides a variety of play zones, activity areas, and active play equipment to make your child’s stay with us fun, engaging and exciting. The Drop Zone is a free play drop-in center; however, a daily schedule provides an overview of The Drop Zone’s structured play and activities. Your children will enjoy exploring the various play zones, from the active play/climbing equipment, performing arts stage, to our interactive game area, Lego table, literary/writing area, creative arts tables, and so much more. Your kids will love coming to The Drop Zone.
Don’t Panic! The Drop Zone provides morning, afternoon, and evening snacks daily which are included in your drop-in visit. If your child(ren) is visiting between 12:00pm- 12:30pm, please bring a peanut free non-microwavable lunch.

The Drop Zone is a peanut-free zone. Out of consideration for children with peanut allergies, we do not allow nut products of any kind in our facility. Please remember this when packing your child a snack or meal to bring with him/her to The Drop Zone. We cannot allow any nut products to be opened or consumed on the premises.
Note: Any food allergies or dietary restrictions your child might have should be noted on your registration form and in your Drop Zone profile.
Our “Pick-Up Policy” requires that you show valid photo identification in order to pick up your child. A password can be established upon registration in the event that a parent does not have an ID available. The password is for parents ONLY, no exceptions. Parents please do NOT share your password with anyone else.
Other authorized pick-up persons MUST present valid photo identification in order for the child to be released.
School agers enrolled in After-School Care or Summer Camp MUST be signed out daily to include documentation of pick-up time.
Cancellation Policy:
If you are unable to keep your reservation, please cancel a day in advance to avoid a “Cancellation Fee.” Same day cancellations will result in a “Cancellation Fee” which is equivalent to an hour at the UNRESERVED rate for the number of children that are reserved.
Late Policy:
If you are running more than 15 minutes late, please call us at 910-758-1055. When you arrive late without calling ahead, your reservation may no longer be available. Late arrivals that are accepted must understand that the original pickup time stands. Oftentimes, there is another family scheduled to arrive when your original reservation is scheduled to end. Adhering to the requested reservation time is critical, as persons picking up late or extending without prior consent can compromise ratio requirements.
No Show Policy:
Families that “No Show” will incur a “No Show” Fee. The “No Show” Fee will be equivalent to the rate of the scheduled reservation.
