The Drop Zone

The DROP ZONE is a convenient hourly drop-in childcare solution designed specifically to address your individual childcare needs. Busy families can drop-in for up to 4 hours of childcare. Reservations are strongly recommended due to ratio and Covid-19 protocol. Same day request and drop-in’s are accommodated on a space availability basis at the unreserved hourly rate.

The Drop Zone also provide additional programs for K-5 graders to include Workday Camps for when school agers have a scheduled day out of school, Summer Camp, and After-School Care to Lake Rim, E.E. Miller, Cliffdale, Morganton Rd and Monclair Elementary students.

Owner's Bio

I am early childhood educator, wife, mother of many, nana of numerous littles, and multi-faceted hat wearer extraordinaire. My passion and love for children, concern for families, and a strong sense of community is what drives me.

Recognizing families as the cornerstone of every community while vividly recalling the lack of support while raising my own children, I have yearned for an opportunity to provide for parents what I so desperately wished I had – peace of mind and extraordinary childcare. This is what every parent wants and needs while their children are in the care of another.
I’ve met hundreds of parents struggling to properly care for their children while simultaneously trying to fulfill numerous daily obligations. Have you witnessed the frustration and stress of a parent in a supermarket, at the doctor’s, or a restaurant vacillating between the task at hand while caring for the children? To that end, The Drop Zone, a short-term childcare solution was born.

Meet Our

Staff

Throughout my educational career, I have been privileged to have spent 23 wonderful years as an educator working with students from the Infant level and into adulthood. I have served as a teacher, paraprofessional, director, owner and operator of my own childcare, RBT Specialist and ABA. I also just completed my PT certification. I’m fluent in ASL and also have started my education plan to becom an SPLA. I’ve had the privilege of being an educator specifically for special needs for 18 of those 23 years and now, Administrator for The Drop Zone.

It is my core belief that great childcare facilities are the results of great individuals, so my primary objective will be to ensure that every child and family are receiving high-quality care and supervision from every employee at The Drop Zone. We will strive to provide all children with a safe and supportive learning enriched environment. My belief is that every child can and will learn if given the right opportunities. Working together as a team with our staff and parents, I am committed to helping provide each family with our very best services. Together we will continue to provide outstanding possibilities and a culture of diverse excellence for our families.

Once again, I am thankful to have the opportunity to serve the Drop Zone community. I look forward to getting to know you and your children as we continue to serve you and transition into this new and exciting school year together.
